Online Release

$30 To Antarctica is live and online for the world to see. This film has brought us to some of the most amazing places and we feel so grateful to finally bring this journey to a wrap!

$30 To Antarctica will be screening on Air Canada in the category of Reel Asian Pulse from now to July 31, 2019. Big thanks to Toronto Reel Asian International Film Festival for this opportunity.  If you happen to be flying Air Canada during this time, please send me a screenshot!

$30 To Antarctica will also be joining two series by SIMA Studios + Awards - SIMA Classroom and SIMAx Collection Traveling Series. The film will be used for educators in high schools and universities. It will also be screened around the globe where they see fit along with other social impact docs. It is exhilarating to join the SIMA community knowing that my film is in good hands and I hope that $30 To Antarctica will serve SIMA’s mission to catalyze change through impact cinema.

Mr Yuk Lau Lee, the teacher who changed my mother’s life, passed away about a year ago (during the festival circuit). My mother has since started a scholarship and foundation in his name to support students who do not have the means for higher education. If you are interested in donating, please contact me directly at for more information.

Mr Lee’s legacy is living on. My mother continues to be very thankful for his seemingly insignificant act of kindness that made her who she is, which undoubtedly had a huge impact on who I am today.

So here it is!
